Deen module

For those whose cycle is also a question about prayer and fasting.

Your cycle also touches your prayer, your washing and your fasting. This module counts along with you, your way.

Off by default, with its own consent. Don't want it, and you'll never see it.

Three rules we don't bend

  1. Your status follows what you log, never a prediction

Your status only changes through what you log yourself. You don't build prayer on an estimate.

  2. You set the limits, we pick no school of law

You set your limits the way you follow them. We choose nothing for you and name no schools of law.

  3. A tool, not a religious ruling

Mensis calculates and reminds, it does not rule. When in doubt, consult a scholar.

What it does for you

  • Your status during your period

Log bleeding and you see that you are menstruating, and so have no prayer obligation.

  • Bleeding outside your period

Runs the bleeding past your maximum, Mensis falls back on your habitual duration.

  • Bleeding stops and returns

Stops the bleeding midway, you get a neutral in-between status, not a hard conclusion.

  • Ritual washing reminder

Only on your logged end, never on a prediction.

  • Counter for missed fasting days

Counted per Islamic year, with what you have already made up.

  • Ramadan confirmation

We calculate the start, you confirm it matches your mosque.

Discretion

Visible to you, unremarkable to everyone else

Not everyone wants a cycle app on her home screen or a washing reminder in company. You don't have to. You decide what shows.

  • A neutral alternative app icon (iPhone)
  • Masked notification text: only “You have a reminder”
  • A privacy screen in the app switcher, so content doesn't show up in a preview
  • Biometric lock with Face ID or fingerprint

Where the rules come from

The module picks no school of law. Every religious rule in the app carries the source it rests on.

Situations and schools of law differ. When in doubt, consult your own scholar.

Where the module stops

  • When the module cannot judge a situation, it says so instead of guessing
  • The AI assistant answers no religious questions. Without exception
  • Deen data never reaches the AI assistant
